On the 16th and 17th of March 2022 were held a series of events under the BIMEPD project: "Adapted senior training program on BIM methodologies for the integration of EPD in sustainable construction strategies."
The Bulgarian green building council is part of a consortium behind this Erasmus+ project, inclusive of the following participants from different European countries: Official College of Architects of Murcia (Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de la Región de Murcia), Spain - project leader, Marble Technology Centre (CTMarmol), Spain, Institute of Entrepreneurship Development (IED), Greece, Warsaw University of Technology (WUT), Poland and CYPE, France.
On the 16th of March we had an internal meeting between the partners to discuss the completion of the BIMEPD educational programme software, the possibilities for presenting it and including the programme in the further professional qualification process for architects within the participating countries. This was also the first live meeting of our team, who created this product through remote working for over a two year period! We were excited to meet in person these proven experts in sustainable construction who made the project possible, despite the Covid epidemic.
On 17th of March we presented the BIMEPD project in the Polygraphia Office Centre and together with our partners from the Chamber of Architects in Bulgaria and Sofia Green we discussed the great opportunities of the developed software, its application as a training resource in the further qualification of architects and especially the need for sustainable design. Everyone agreed on the importance of green building as a tool to reduce the carbon footprint of human activity.
Stay tuned for more workshops on our educational programme BIMEPD " Adapted senior training program on BIM methodologies for the integration of EPD in sustainable construction strategies ".
We would like to thank to all participants – we hope it was a useful seminar for you all!
