BGBC and a Bulgarian delegation participated in the Madrid Leaders` Summit of the BUILD UPON project
On September 20 and 21 in Madrid was held a summit of 170 leaders in Europe on the topic of deep renovation of existing buildings. The meeting was organized for BUILD UPON - the largest project in the world to support the creation and implementation of national strategies for deep and energy-efficient renovation of the building stock. The project is developed by 13 Green Building Councils including the Bulgarian Green Building Council.
BGBC invited a Bulgarian delegation to the Summit, which was represented by the minister of the regional development and public works Lilyana Pavlova, the first secretary of the Bulgarian permanent representation to the European Commission and a representative of the ministry of regional development and public works in Brussels Dessislava Yordanova, the chairman of BGBC Vessela Valtcheva-McGee, the executive director of BGBC Nora Yovcheva, the vice director of EnEffect Dragomir Tsanev, the director of Habitat for Humanity Bulgaria Mincho Benov and Veneta Novakova - Board member of Bulgarian Doors and Windows Association.
